Mawgan Porth Beach near Sun Haven Valley
Mawgan Porth Beach is a little known yet unforgettable bay on the North Cornish Coast.
Mawgan Porth's greatest feature is it's superb beach - long flat & shallow with acres of yellow sand for family games - and flanked by cliffs with small caves and rock pools just waiting to be explored at low tide. It's no wonder that The Sunday Times rated Mawgan Porth Beach as the 6th best in Europe.
Mawgan Porth Beach receives the same Atlantic breakers as Newquay, the surfing capital of England, but receives far fewer visitors. Why not try surf lessons with Kingsurf - Mawgan Porth's acclaimed and popular surfing school - or simply try some holiday ‘bellyboarding’. Best of all, Mawgan Porth Beach is pet friendly all year round, so the whole family can enjoy the tranquil and beautiful beachfront.
Sun Haven Valley sits away from the bustle of Mawgan Porth Beach, just a short woodland walk back up the valley to the peaceful surroundings of the holiday park. The footpath is level and safe for all abilites - you'll have to contend with a staggered railing at the bridge crossing our stream, but many of our guests use bicycles and prams along the route without issue.
