Sun Haven Valley Country Holiday Park Cornwall
Sun Haven Valley offers a tranquil retreat in the picturesque countryside
of Mawgan Porth,
We are are family run caravan park offering static holiday caravans and a campsite where we accept both tents and touring caravans - bring your extended family and have separate accommodation whilst enjoying the same small park!
Sun HavenValley is 'low-key'. We have NO club, NO bar, No evening entertainment and during the high season (Whitsun week and mid-July to mid September) we have a STRICT no-noise-after-10.30pm" policy.
Whilst many people are able to pick up a TV signal on the campsite you should come prepared that there is no tv signal (satellite dish is better but not guaranteed) and no mobile phone signal (though this gets better by the year) but we do have a communal TV room and a phone box. For the children there is a games room plus a childrens playgound and a large central lawns for childrens games but there are no large arcades and no clubhouse keeping you up late or disturbing the peaceful surroundings of this holiday park in Cornwall
Where to eat near Sun Haven Valley Holiday Park in North Cornwall
we prefer to keep things quiet on-site, there are some great places to
eat and drink nearby for those interested in a party or after some entertainment.
5 minutes walk from our back gate is Retorrick Mill, a cornish country stable block that has been converted to a bar. Retorrick often hosts relaxed music nights, with reggae bands or DJs and during the high season a neighbouring farmer runs a BBQ from this premises, selling locally produced pork and beef products.
If you're looking for a nearby restaurant or pub to sit and eat, a miles
walk east will reveal the picturesque village of St Mawgan, with an award-winning
pub The Falcon serving evening meals or a Traditional Tea Rooms serving
light lunches and cream teas throughout the day. 3/4 mile in the opposite
direction along our famous "beach footpath" lies Mawgan Porth,
a little-known beachfront village which is home to The Merrymoor serving
food all day, in addition to a handful of local amentities including a
convenience store, a café, Off The Beach restaurant, and of course
a holiday must: a fish'n'chip shop!
For a special celebration choose from Jamie Oliver's coveted "Fifteen" fine dining restaurant a short drive away in Watergate Bay- alternatively Rick Stein's Restaurant in Padstow offers a more casual experience (but a long waiting list in the main season). The Scarlett Hotel here in Mawgan Porth is popular for its incredible sea views and adult-only surroundings, and the Bedruthan Steps Hotel in nearby Trevarrian offers a similar experience with all ages welcome!
