Central Location:

The attractions in Cornwall stretch far and wide, from Launceston Castle to Land's End. Sun Haven Valley is located along the North Cornish Coastline, between Newquay and Padstow - two of Cornwall's most popular destinations.

Our central location gives you access to the best of Cornwall whilst remaining close to the beach, and is tucked in a secluded valley away from busy roads giving you the best of both worlds. Stay in the area for the day and make the most of the beautiful surroundings, or jump in the car and be wherever takes your fancy in Cornwall, within an hour.

Next to the beach isn't necessarily the best.

The sites closest to the beach are busier, noisier and exposed to whatever weather blows in off the coast - squalls, anyone? Sun Haven Valley is nestled in the peaceful Cornish Countryside, just a 15 minute walk along a woodland pathway from the beach - close enough to enjoy e#all it has to offer, but far enough to avoid any noiser and sheltered from the blustering seaside winds.

Leave the car at the campsite and take a short walk down to the beach or head off to the beautiful village of St Mawgan. If you're carrying alot, you might prefer to catch the bus from the site entrance to the beachfront or Padstow, Newquay and beyond.

Take a look at what Mawgan Porth has to offer.

Don't Fancy taking the car? Take the bus!

The number 56 service takes the scenic cliff top route from Newquay to Padstow, via St Mawgan and Mawgan Porth. Whilst we are not an offical stop, the bus will stop at our front gate on request. Running past the site every 3 hours or so, please check the Bus Times for more details.

Fancy a stroll along the stunning Cornish Coastline? Then why not take the bus to a Bedruthan Steps, Porthcothan Bay or Constantine Bay and walk back on the Coastal path?

Quiet Nights

We have No Club, No Bar and No evening entertainment. Sun Haven Valley is a peaceful and relaxing holiday park with a 10.30pm Silence Policy to ensure our customers have a quiet night and relaxing stay.

There is a country bar 1/4 mile from out back gate or there are 2 pubs in opposite directions, each within a 15 minute walk. You do not have to be tee-total but our rules ask that you are quiet after 10.30pm. The rules should not be dismissed as every year we have to 'ask' a few to leave earlier than intended because they insist on disturbing others. We cannot stop babies crying or people snoring but we do our best to restrict inconsiderate or intentional noise.

We have similar rules during the day and music, radios etc. must not be played at volumes that "can be heard off the pitch".

Are we suitable for teenagers?campsite in cornwall

We are a popular site for families and couples of all ages, but we understand we're not for everyone. Unless your teenager is happy with their family's company and a beach fifteen minutes walk away, we are probably not the best place for their holiday. There are no late night discos or coffee bars on site and the TV room and games room close at 9.30pm, so we have comparatively fewer teenagers. This does of course afford younger children more 'freedom' and space - but could be a bit boring for your older children; especially considering Sun Haven is a bit of a black spot for signal.

As part of our 'silence at 10.30pm' policy, we insist that everyone under the age of 18 must return to their accommodation by 9.45pm - it is the responsibilty of parents and guardians to ensure their safe return.

*Please note* We do have Wifi available to guests at a small charge, however we cannot guarantee any coverage or service ANYWHERE on site - or indeed its compatability with ANY device. This could of course be good news for your family, but if Wifi or mobile signal is very important to you, we can advise that the Falcon and Merrymoor Inns do offer complimentary wifi, and mobile signal can be obtained by walkiing out of the Valley.
