Guest Conduct at Sun Haven Valley
We are a small peaceful family site, there is No club, No bar and we enforce a strict silence at 10.30pm policy, implemented by the night wardens. Sometimes we lock the gates of the site at midnight, when this occurs cars are to be parked either in the overflow car park or on the public road outside of the gates.
Low Season Camping: In 'Low Season' double pitches, Early Arrivals and Late Departures are Free, subject to availability. We still ask for 10.30pm silence but overall we are more relaxed on the rules, such as 1 dog per pitch.
Surfers: Whilst we may accept some surfers, who believe surfing is more important for the after party, we do not accept large groups. Please note that should your stay disturb or inconvenience other holiday makers, we reserve the right to terminate your holiday.
'Party' groups or Single Sex groups (e.g. Stag/ Hen parties): We do not have the facilities that you require.
For Caravan Holidays try Tregustick Holiday Park at Porth on 01637 872 478.
For Camping Groups try Newquay View Resort, also in Porth, on 01637 851 851.
We hope this has been helpful and that you have a good time !
"What does silence after 10:30pm mean?"
In Whitsun, July and August: most of our customers have young children, we expect people to be reasonable bearing in mind how close the neighbouring pitch is, we do not accept late night "sessions", regardless of the activity.
If others can hear you, then you are too loud. Holidays may be terminated prematurely for disturbing others and disrespecting the rules. Nightly patrols help keep the silence policy in effect, no aggressive or unruly behaviour will be accepted towards any member of staff.
Outside of School Holidays: whilst the 10.30pm silence is still in effect, as long as neighbouring pitches are not disturbed you can sit outside of your accommodation and enjoy the evening.
"Does the Silence after 10.30pm actually work?"
Yes it does work because we work hard to achieve it. We conduct nightly patrols asking people to be quiet if necessary and if someone if distrubing people with "intentional" noise, they will be asked to leave the following morning. We cannot stop people from snoring, or crying babies, but we do our best to give everyone a good nights sleep.
"Can you talk after 10.30pm?"
During late July & August, the short answer is No, not if you can be heard from outside of the boundaries of your pitch. If you wake the children in the next tent they are likely to wake up everyone and risk spoiling a lot of holidays.
We do have people who sit outside reading a book, drinking a glass of wine enjoying the silence and having quiet conversations.
Every year we evict several holidaymakers who could not follow these rules, it spoils everyones' Summer. If these rules do not describe the holiday you are planning, we are not the right campsite for you.
Summer Arrivals and Departures on the Campsite
Arrival time is strictly 12pm. We do not have space pitches or large car parks for customers to wait in, unless you have pre-booked an early arrival you will not be allowed access to site until 12pm.
Departure time is 10.30am. In summer this deadline must be adhered to as we have routine maintenance to complete on all the pitches before the next customers arrive.
If you wish to book an early arrival or a late departure, ensure that this is done at the time of booking to avoid disappointment. An early arrival allows you to access the pitch from 8.30am when reception opens, whilst the late departure allows you to stay to 8pm.
Summer Arrivals and Departures in our Holiday Caravans
For Holiday Caravans arrivals please note that the arrival time is 3pm. Out of season an early arrival may be possible if it is pre-arranged.
Under no circumstances will your caravan be ready before 1pm.
At the end of your holiday check-out is no later than 10am. Out of season we may be able to relax this rule if it is pre-arranged.
